Schools!

Emma Jewel Charter Academy has almost 400 students. Cocoa High has almost 1500 students.  Poverty is widespread in both schools. Growing children are in class hungry every day. The Cocoa  Fresh Market is a partnership between the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Central Brevard (community sponsor), Emma Jewel Charter Academy, and Second Harvest Food Bank, with support for Cocoa High also from Hope United Church of Christ. It provides free produce and non-perishable food to students each week during the school year, at the of the school day so they can eat better on days they are not being provided meals at school. Our business and individual partners fund the purchase of non-perishable food we distribute to students at 19 cents a pound from Second Harvest (fresh produce is donated at no charge). Please help us end hunger at Cocoa schools by clicking to make a recurring contribution below.  You will be changing lives. All contributions are tax-deductible.

About

The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Central Brevard was established in Cocoa in 1959 by visionaries who were committed to bringing more justice and more love to ourselves, our community, and our world. The Fellowship remains committed to these ideals as we support our members in their individual searches for truth.
